Three Jackets Ranked in NCAA Softball

BILLINGS, MT – Three
Montana State-Billings softball players are ranked this
week in the NCAA Division II statistical rankings. Joey
Ehnes is ranked in the top 20 in two pitching
categories, and Rachel Quarnburg and Cami
Rainey are each in the top 50 for batting average.
Ehnes, a senior from
Great Falls, MT, is ninth in the nation for victories.
She had 20 during the most recent reporting period that
ended April 10 and won two more on Wednesday. She also
ranks eighteenth in the nation for strikeouts per seven
innings at 8.9. She eclipsed the 600 career strikeout
mark on Wednesday in a doubleheader sweep of Albertson
College.
Quarnburg, a sophomore
from Billings, was hitting .440 at the end of the
reporting period to rank 36th in the nation.
She has since raised her average to .463. Rainey, a
senior from Terreton, ID, ranks 50th in the
country with a .424 average. She improved her average to
.432 this week.
The Yellowjackets are
28-12 overall and are likely to be ranked in the West
Region top 10 when the poll is released on Thursday. |
