Jackets’ Campbell Earns PacWest Honor (May 2, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings
senior Theresa Campbell was named the Pacific West Conference
Player of the Week on Monday. The designated hitter from
Great Falls, MT, batted .647 in six games last week to
lead the Yellowjackets to six wins.
Campbell was 11-for-17 at the plate
with four home runs and 10 RBI in the six games. She also
scored six times. Five of her eleven hits went for extra
bases and she posted an astronomical 1.412 slugging
percentage for the week. That boosted her season slugging
percentage to a PacWest best .805.
Campbell also leads the conference
with 14 home runs. She ranks second with a .478 on base
percentage and sixth with a .398 batting average. Her 14
homers are a school single season record, and she holds
the school career record with 22. |
