Men’s Tennis Heads to Boise for Compass Tournament

BILLINGS, MT – After a week long
trip to Colorado, the Montana State University-Billings
men’s tennis team will compete in the Compass Tournament
hosted by Boise State University, March 25-27. The
tournament will be played on the Appleton Outdoor
Courts.
The tournament will feature sixteen
teams, seven of which are currently ranked in the top 75
Division I teams in the country. MSU Billings has drawn
the eighth seeded New Mexico State University in the
first round. Ranked teams in the draw include host team
Boise State Bronco’s, Brigham Young University, Ball
State University, Texas A&M at Corpus Christi,
University of Nebraska, and Wichita State University.
“The men’s team will compete in the
toughest tournament in the history of the program,” said
head coach Jerry Peach. “Our goal is to improve
everyone’s game and learn how to instill toughness.
This is definitely the best men’s team event in the
Intermountain area for 2005, regardless of division. We
are excited to be playing,” added Peach.
