Yellowjacket Soccer Drops Second Straight (Sept. 4, 2004)
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – The Montana
State-Billings men’s soccer team lost its second straight game on
Saturday, falling 3-1 to Newman University at the Westminster
College tournament. The Yellowjackets were 1-2 at the tournament
and are 2-3 overall.
Thomas Pertuit (Sr., MF, Billings, MT) scored the Yellowjackets’ only goal of the game. Pertuit
scored on a penalty kick in the 38th minute. It was
Pertuit’s team-leading fifth goal of the
season. The Yellowjacket offense managed
just Pertuit's one shot on goal. Jess
Feldtman (Jr., GK, Lander, WY) made six saves in goal for
MSU Billings, allowing three goals in 90 minutes. His season
goals against average is now 2.20.
The Yellowjackets host Colorado-Colorado
Springs on Monday, September 6 at 11:00 a.m. It will be the home
opener for MSU Billings and the season opener for Colorado
Springs. |
