Yellowjacket Men Play at Gonzaga on Saturday (Sept. 10, 2004)
BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings
men’s soccer team will travel to Spokane for a Saturday match up
with Division I Gonzaga. Live Gametracker play by play of the

kicks off at 2:00 p.m. PDT, 3:00 p.m. MDT.
The Yellowjackets are 3-3 after defeating
Colorado-Colorado Springs, 3-2, last weekend. MSU Billings jumped
to a 3-0 lead midway through the second half and held off the
Mountain Lions to stop a two game losing streak. Thomas Pertuit
(Sr., MF, Billings, MT) scored his team-leading sixth goal and
added an assist for his thirteenth point of the year. Brian
Palmer (Sr., F., Laramie, WY) scored a pair of goals, including
the game winner, and is second on the team with seven points this
season.
Jess Feldtman (Jr., GK, Lander, WY) has
played all 540 minutes in goal for the Yellowjackets. He has a
2.17 goals against average after allowing 13 goals. Feldtman has
made 33 saves entering this weekend with a save percentage of
.717.
The Zags are 1-2 following a 3-1 win over
Sacramento State on Monday. The three goals were the Zags’ first
of the year after being shutout in their first two matches. Arni
Pjetursson scored two of Gonzaga’s goals in the win over Sac
State.
Saturday’s game at Gonzaga will be the first
of five straight road contests for the Yellowjackets. They next
play at University of Mary on September 18. MSU Billings doesn’t
play in Billings again until October 2 and 3 when the Jackets host
Colorado School of Mines and Westminster College in a three team
tournament. |
