Yellowjacket Soccer Signs Billings Player (May 19, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings
men’s soccer coach Dan McNally announced Thursday that Brian
Huskey of Billings has signed a national letter of intent to
play for the Yellowjackets in 2005. Huskey is McNally’s first
signing since taking over the head coaching duties in April.
Huskey will graduate from Billings Senior
High School this weekend. He was a three year letterman for
coach Don Pertuit’s Broncs. He earned all-conference and
all-state honors as both a junior and senior and helped Senior
HS claim the 2005 Class AA state title. As a senior Huskey
scored seven goals and had 10 assists, earning team MVP
honors.
“I think Brian will be a solid
contributor to the 2005 squad,” said McNally. “He is a hard
worker and a good passer of the ball. I expect him to have a
great four year career at MSU Billings.”
The Yellowjackets, 6-12-0 last season,
kick off their 2005 training camp in early August. They open
the regular season with a pair of regional games in Denver at
the end of August. The Jackets will play at Metro State on
August 26 and at Colorado School of Mines on August 28. |
