Yellowjacket Soccer falls to Unbeaten Seattle, 0-5

SEATTLE, WA – The Montana State
University-Billings men’s soccer fell to Seattle University
today, dropping to 4-5-0 on the season. Seattle remains
unbeaten and is 9-0-1. The Yellowjackets
traveled to Washington to take on three top ranked teams in
the Far West region after having a win against Mary last week
in North Dakota.
The first goal of the game was one of
three goals made by Seattle’s Bobby McAlister. The goal came
at 30:17 on a cross from the left side of the field. Cameron
Weaver scored a pair of goals in the second half at
64:35 and again at 76:59. The fourth goal came from McAlister
in the 81st minute and the final goal came with
just fourteen seconds remaining on the clock. This goal was
also from McAlister keeping him at the top of the NCAA
Division II scoring list with fourteen goals on the season.
The Yellowjackets had three shots on goal
for the day coming from Dustin Kono (Jr., F, Aberdeen, SD), Thomas Pertuit (Sr., MF, Billings, MT) and Victor Sargent (So., MF, Billings, MT). Kyle
Bales (Sr., GK, Cody, WY) played his third game of the
season as goalkeeper and had eight saves.
The Yellowjackets take on Western
Washington Monday, September 27th in Bellingham, and
then travel back to Seattle for their final road game of the
series where they play Seattle Pacific University on Tuesday, September 28th. |
