Windy Boy Moves to Third for 3-Point Shooting (Jan. 18, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings guard
Buddy Windy Boy climbed to No. 3 nationally this week for 3-point
field goals made. The junior from Lodge Grass is averaging 4.0
made 3-pointers per game. David Logan of Indianapolis University
leads the nation at 4.8 per game.
Windy Boy also ranks fourteenth for 3-point
field goal percentage. He is connecting on 47.3 percent of his
attempts from beyond the arc.
Joining Windy Boy in the national rankings is
guard Cameron Munoz. The junior from Chino, CA, is fifth in the
country for free throw percentage at 90.9 and fourteenth for
3-pointers per game at 3.6.
As a team, the Yellowjackets are sixth
nationally for 3-point field goals made. They are averaging 10.4
a game. Southwest Baptist leads the nation at 13.2 per game. The
Yellowjackets also rank thirteenth for scoring average (86.7 ppg)
and 34th for free throw percentage (74.3).
MSU Billings plays host to BYU-Hawaii Tuesday
at 8:00 p.m. in the Yellowjackets’ PacWest home opener. The
Jackets host Hawaii Pacific at 7:00 on Thursday and 2:00 on
Saturday afternoon. |
