Munoz Earns PacWest Player of the Week Honor (Mar. 7, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings guard Cameron Munoz was named the Pacific West Conference player of
the week on Monday. It was the second time this season that Munoz
was the conference’s player of the week.
The junior from Chino, CA, led the
Yellowjackets to a come from behind win at Western New Mexico on
Thursday. He scored 28 points and made 8-of-16 from 3-point
range. For the season Munoz ranked third in the PacWest for
scoring (20.4), ninth for assists (2.84), second for free throw
percentage (85.3), first for 3-pointers per game (4.44), and
eighth for 3-point percentage (38.7).
He finishes his junior campaign with 1,268
career points and 304 career 3-pointers. He is ninth in school
history for points scored and second for made 3-pointers. In his
senior season, he will be chasing the school record of 1,883
points and 371 three-pointers. Munoz scored 510 points with 111
three-pointers this year. |
