Jackets, Lady Jackets Set for Blue-Gold Doubleheader Saturday (Nov. 10, 2004)
BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings
men’s and women’s basketball teams will make their first public
appearances of the year on Saturday with a doubleheader of
Blue-Gold Scrimmages. The women will tip off at 6:00 p.m. and the
men will start at approximately 8:00 p.m. at Alterowitz
Gymnasium. Admission is free to both games.
The NCAA basketball season officially starts
November 15 across the country. Both Yellowjacket teams will open
with home games on Saturday, November 20. The Lady Yellowjackets
will host West Region rival Western Washington at 6:00 p.m.
followed by the men against Minot State at 8:00 p.m.
The Yellowjacket women will have 15 home
games in 2004-2005, with nine of those games coming against West
Region teams. In addition to Western Washington, also visiting
Alterowitz will be Humboldt State, St. Martin’s, Western New
Mexico, Western Oregon and Grand Canyon. Out of region teams
coming to Billings in 04-05 include Ohio Valley, Saint Leo,
Montana Tech, and North Dakota State.
The Yellowjacket men will play 18 times at
home this season. The home schedule features Pacific West
Conference games against BYU-Hawaii, Chamiande, Hawaii-Hilo,
Hawaii Pacific and Western New Mexico. Non-conference teams
besides Minot visiting Alterowitz for the men will include Ohio
Valley, Chadron State, Northwest Nazarene, Saint Leo, Haskell
Indian Nations, Montana State-Northern, and Johnson & Wales. |
