Yellowjacket Tennis Falls at Southern Utah (March 15, 2003)
CEDAR CITY, UT – The
MSU Billings women’s tennis team lost a dual match
at Southern Utah University on Saturday, 5-2. The
Thunderbirds improved to 1-4 in the spring dual
season, while MSUB fell to 2-5.
The Lady Jackets lost all three doubles matches,
with the Thunderbirds gaining the one doubles point
under the Division I scoring system. Becky Fry came
back from one set down in the #3 match to win 6-7,
6-2, 6-4. Margot Merrill-Johnson also rallied from
behind to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.
MSU Billings will host the
University of Mary on March 21 and 22 in the MSUB
Indoor Tennis Center.
