MSU Billings Hosts Embry Riddle, Carroll in Women’s Soccer (October 24, 2002)

BILLINGS, MT – The MSU Billings will host Embry Riddle University and Carroll College this weekend in the Yellowjackets’ final women’s soccer games of the season. 

The two-game Yellowjacket Soccer Classic, which is sponsored by Rimrock Inn, will start on Friday with MSUB (2-12) taking on Embry Riddle from Daytona Beach, Florida.  The Eagles are 11-3-1 on the season and have won three in a row.  Game time is set for 3:00 p.m. at Yellowjacket Field at the COT. 

The Yellowjackets will be off Saturday before hosting Carroll College (3-6-3) on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. for Senior Day.  The match against the Saints will be the Yellowjackets’ 2002 season finale.  Carroll defeated MSU Billings 4-1 on September 18.

The Yellowjackets, who have struggled offensively for much of the season, have scored six goals in their last two games.  Kelly Bryn and Margot Merrill-Johnson have each scored three goals for MSU Billings this season.  Merrill-Johnson leads the Yellowjackets in scoring with seven points.
