Yellowjackets Still No. 4 in West Region Poll (February 12, 2003)
BILLINGS, MT – The MSU Billings
women’s basketball team remained at No. 4 in the
NCAA West Region poll released Wednesday. The Lady
Jackets are No. 4 for the second week in a row after
improving to 15-4 with a win over Rocky Mountain
College last week.
The Yellowjackets have seven
games remaining, including three this weekend in
Puerto Rico. The top eight ranked teams in the
region will qualify for the NCAA Tournament, which
will be hosted by the top-ranked team. Unbeaten
Seattle Pacific (20-0) is the current No. 1 team.
The Jackets play at Puerto
Rico-Mayaguez on Friday, at Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras
on Saturday, and at Puerto Rico-Bayamon on Sunday.
