Blue Downs Gold in Lady Yellowjacket Scrimmage (November 1, 2002)

BILLINGS, MT – The Blue team pulled away from a 35-30 halftime lead to win the mixed scrimmage at MSU Billings Friday night 82-67.  Some players switched teams at the half to create different combinations on the floor.

Senior forward Natalie Visger led all scorers with 31 in the game.  She was 14-of-20 from the field and scored 17 points in the opening 20 minutes.

Seniors Jessica Bachmann and Joan Langford scored 24 and 23 points respectively.  Bachmann was 8-of-15 from the field, including a 6-for-8 performance in the opening half.  She also handed out six assists.  Langford made a game-high six 3-pointers. 

Robyn Milne, who set a Yellowjacket freshman record with 57 blocked shots last season, blocked six shots in the scrimmage to go along with 19 points.  Freshmen Tanya Petersen, Alyssa Root, and Jenny Langford each notched ten points apiece.

The Yellowjackets will hold their annual Alumni game on November 9 at 8:00 p.m.  The game is scheduled to follow immediately after a Yellowjacket volleyball game.
