BYU-Hawaii Garners Top Seed at PacWest Tennis
Championships (April 9, 2003)
BILLINGS, MT – The 2003 Pacific
West Conference Tennis Championships start at
MSU Billings on Thursday with the BYU-Hawaii men’s
and women’s teams each earning the No. 1 seed. The
Seasiders will begin their PacWest title defense
against No. 6 Western New Mexico on Thursday
morning.
The tournament seeding was
determined by the league’s coaches at a meeting
Wednesday evening. Joining BYU-Hawaii in the
tournament draw will be No. 2 Hawaii Pacific, No. 3
Hawaii-Hilo, No. 4 MSU Billings, No. 5 Chaminade
University, and No. 6 Western New Mexico.
The tournament will take place at two sites in
Billings. All women’s matches will be played on the
campus of MSU Billings while the men’s matches will
be at the Rose Park courts on the west end of
Billings. Match times are scheduled for 9:00 a.m.,
noon and 3:00 p.m. following is Thursday’s
first-round schedule

12:00 p.m. - #3 Hawaii-Hilo vs. #4 MSU Billings
3:00 p.m. - #2 Hawaii Pacific vs. #5 Chaminade

9:00 a.m. - #3 Hawaii-Hilo vs. #4 MSU Billings
