Yellowjacket Softball Set for Busy Weekend (March 20, 2003)

BILLINGS, MT – The MSU Billings softball team is hoping Mother Nature cooperates this weekend as the Yellowjackets prepare to host 12 games over three days.  The Jackets will face Minot State at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon in their home opener at Cenex Stadium.  Those games will be followed by the ten-game Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.

Friday’s double-header against Minot was originally scheduled for Thursday, but was pushed back due to wet field conditions.  That postponement moved the tournament, which was scheduled for Friday and Saturday, back a day as well.  Games on Saturday and Sunday will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run throughout the day.  The final game each day is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.  The five-team invitational will include the Yellowjackets, Minot State, Valley City State, Jamestown, and Dawson CC.  All games will be played at Cenex Stadium on the campus of MSU Billings.
