MSU Billings Men’s Soccer Falls at Regis (October 18, 2002)
DENVER, CO – The MSU Billings men’s soccer
team was out-shot 20-2 on Friday as they fell 4-0 at Regis
University in Denver. Regis (6-5-2) scored twice in each half to
move over the .500 mark for the season. MSU Billings falls to
5-10 with the loss.
Mark Cipolla managed the
only shot-on-goal for the Yellowjackets as their offense struggled
to create opportunities. Regis fired ten shots in each half to
keep the pressure on, with Lance Snodgrass and Sven Trautmann each
scoring twice for the Rangers.
Yellowjacket goalkeepers Kevin Petritz and Anthony Schleich split
time in net, with Petritz playing the first half and Schleich
playing the final 45 minutes. Petritz recorded three saves.
MSU Billings will travel to Lakewood,
Colorado for a Sunday match against Colorado Christian
University. The will host Flathead CC on October 26 in an
exhibition match at Yellowjacket Field. |
