MSU Billings Men’s Soccer Loses at Whitworth (September 7, 2002)
SPOKANE, WA – The MSU Billings men’s soccer team dropped its
second game in a row in Washington this weekend,
falling 3-0 to Whitworth College.
In a defensive battle, the
Yellowjackets were out-shot 16-4. Three of the four
Yellowjacket shots were on goal, but Whitworth
goalie Justin Tauscher stopped all three. On the
other side, three of the five shots-on-goal for
Whitworth resulted in goals.
Mark Cipolla, who scored three
goals in Thursday’s loss to Whitman, managed two
shots for the Yellowjackets.
MSU Billings falls to 1-4 on
the season. The Jackets will next travel to Nampa,
Idaho for two games on September 19 and 20. They
will face Westminster College and Northwest Nazarene
University. |
