Yellowjackets Fall to Westminster
SALT LAKE
CITY – The Montana State University-Billings
men’s soccer team dropped its second game of the
season, losing to Westminster College 5-2 on
Sunday. The game was the third in as many days for
the Yellowjackets at the Westminster tournament.
The loss drops MSUB to 1-2 on the season.
Scoring for MSUB were freshman
Jesse Spann and sophomore Tommy Pertuit. It was the
first goal of the season for both players. Kevin
Petriz was in goal for the Jackets, stopping four
shots. Despite the three-goal margin, MSUB was only
out-shot 12-10 for the game.
The Yellowjackets are on the
road again next weekend when they travel to play at
Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington on
September 5, and at Whitworth College in Spokane on
September 7. |
