Yellowjacket Basketball Announces Open Practice (October 11, 2002)
BILLINGS, MT – MSU Billings
men’s basketball coach Craig Carse announced that
the Yellowjackets’ first practice on Tuesday,
October 15 will be open to the public and the
media. Tuesday is the first date that NCAA Division
II basketball teams can conduct practice.
The Yellowjackets are the
defending Pacific West Conference champions and led
the nation in scoring last year at 91.4 points per
game. MSUB was the No. 5 seed in the West Region of
last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Jackets will
defend their 33-game home winning streak when they
host Cal State-San Bernardino in the first game of
the year. CSUSB advanced to the Elite Eight last
year.
Tuesday’s open practice session
is scheduled to run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at
Alterowitz Gymnasium. All reserved seating sections
will be set up so season ticket holders have the
opportunity to view where their seats are. Also,
those interested in purchasing reserved seating will
have a chance to see the locations of the available
remaining seating. There are still about a dozen
reserved seats remaining for the men’s 2002-2003
home games.
The practice session will also
be open to all media, with Yellowjacket players and
coaches available for interviews at the end of the
practice session. |
