MSU Billings Hands out 2003 Athletic Awards (April 22,
2003)
BILLINGS, MT – Willy Davison
and Natalie Visger were named the MSU Billings male
and female student athletes of the year at the 2003
Yellowjacket Athletics Awards Ceremony on Tuesday.
The two Yellowjacket basketball seniors received a
large majority of the votes cast by coaches and
staff members of the Yellowjacket Athletics
Department.
Davison led the Yellowjackets
in assists this year, handing out a team-high 164 to
place
ninth on the school’s single-season record list. He
finished his four-year career at MSUB with 415
assists, fourth-most in the school’s history.
Davison earned All-PacWest honorable mention honors,
was named the PacWest player of the week, and was
named to the PacWest Academic All-Conference team.
Visger was a two-time captain
for the Lady Yellowjackets and finished her career
with 1219 points and 796 rebounds. She ranks
eleventh all-time on the Yellowjacket scoring list
and third all-time for rebounding. Visger was named
to the Verizon Academic All-District VII second team
this season and led the Jackets to their third NCAA
Tournament appearance in four years.
