SEATTLE, Wash. – Seattle University posted a
96-56 victory over Montana State Billings on Saturday evening in
both teams regular season finale.
With the loss, the Yellowjackets finish the season 1-28
and 1-17 in conference play.
Seattle improved to 18-9 and 11-7 in conference play.
The Yellowjackets had three players in double
figures led by 21 points from Aaron Terry.
He was 7 of 11 from the field an 6 of 10 from the line.
John Brooks added 11 points and Brett Taylor chipped in
10. Seattle had
five players in double figures led by 17 points from Michael
Wright off the bench.
Seattle held a 43-31 lead at halftime.
MSUB shot 10 of 25 from the field in the opening half and
were 4 of 15 from beyond the arc.
The Yellowjackets went to the line 10 times, making seven
in the opening half.
The Redhawks were 16 of 36 from the field in the first half
and 2 of 6 from beyond the arc.
Seattle dominated the second half, outscoring
the Yellowjackets 53-25.
MSUB committed 22 turnovers in the game and SU scored 30
points off turnovers.
The Jackets shot 16 of 50 from the field for the game and
were 7 of 31 from beyond the arc.
MSUB was 17 of 29 from the line.
The Redhawks also dominated the rebounding
margin, 53-31, including 18-8 on the offensive end. |
