MSUB Men’s Basketball Inks Fourth Signee
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings Director of Athletics, Dr. Gary Gray, announced Thursday that Darrel John (DJ) Fish has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for the Yellowjackets.
“We are very excited to sign a Montana recruit of D.J.’s caliber, and we welcome him as a Yellowjacket,” said Gray. “D.J. is a great freshman addition to our MSUB roster.”
Fish, a native of Browning, Mont., is a 6-5 forward who was named Montana Most Valuable Player in Class A for the 2007-08 season. He helped lead the Runnin’ Indian basketball team to the state title as well.
His other accolades include being named super state from 2006-2008 and earned all-conference honors from 2005-2008. In addition to playing basketball, Fish was an all-state cross country runner in 2007-08 and earned academic all-state in cross country as well. He was the number one runner on the team, too.
Fish is the fourth signee for the 2008-09 season as he joins Ryan Meehan of Beaverton, Ore., and Lance Anderson and Brad Hodge of Grays Harbor College.
