MSUB Track Signs Glendive’s Miller
(5/22/07)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State
University Billings cross-country and track coach
Dave Coppock announced Tuesday that Kelley Miller of
Glendive, Mont., has signed a national letter of
intent to compete for the Yellowjackets. Miller is
a senior at Dawson County High School in Glendive.
“Kelley is a very versatile
runner and has some of the top performances in the
Eastern A at distances from 100 meters to the mile,”
said Coppock. “He has qualified for State this
coming weekend in the 400, 800, 4x100 relay and
4x400 relay. He seems to be progressing well as a
distance runner and with his speed, he'll really
help us out in both track and cross country. He's
part of a real strong group of freshmen we're
getting here from eastern Montana.”
Miller placed third in the 800
at last week’s Eastern A Divisional. He also placed
sixth in the 400 and was a member of the Devils’
second place 4x100 relay and fourth place 4x400
relay teams. His fastest 400 time this season has
been 50.50, which would place him within 0.15 second
of this season’s tenth-fastest time in the Great
Northwest Athletic Conference. |
