Casper VB Standout Signs with MSUB (4/27/07)
BILLINGS, MT – New Montana
State-Billings volleyball coach Sara Schaub announced her first
national letter of intent signing on Friday. Jennifer Boe from
Casper, WY, will join the Yellowjackets this fall.
"Jen comes to us from a very successful and respected high
school program,” said Schaub. “She was one of the best athletes
on the volleyball court out of the state of Wyoming. Jen is a
fluid athlete who should help make an immediate impact on the
outside hitting position. I look forward to working with Jen
and watching her develop into a high caliber volleyball player."
Boe will graduate from Kelly
Walsh High School in Casper in June. A four-year letter winner,
Boe helped lead the Trojans to three state championship matches,
winning the state title in 2005. Kelly Walsh also captured
three regional championships and two conference championships in
the last three years.
A 5-foot-8 outside hitter, Boe
totaled 504 kills over the last two seasons. As a senior, she
knocked down 260 kills with a .248 attack percentage and was
named the 4A North player of the year. As both a junior and
senior, Boe was to the all-conference and all-state team.
“I chose MSUB because it is
located somewhat close to home, the previous volleyball team was
very successful, and the town of Billings is beautiful,” said
Boe. “The campus is also very nice, not too big or too small.
I am excited to become a Yellowjacket!” |
