Jackets’ Kruse Named Heartland POTW (8/30/06)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana
State-Billings volleyball player Nicole
Kruse has been named the Heartland Conference defensive
player of the week.
Kruse is a 5’5” libero from
Huntley, MT. She anchored the Yellowjacket reception and
defense last week to help MSU Billings to a 2-2 record at the
Mountain Lion Invitational in Colorado Springs, CO. Kruse
averaged a team-high 5.13 digs per game and had just two
reception errors in 71 attempts. Her digs per game average was
the highest of any Heartland player during last weekend’s
season-opening matches.
The Yellowjackets will take to
the road for another four-match tournament this weekend in
Durango, CO. They will face Dixie State College, Eastern New
Mexico, Seattle Pacific, and Fort Lewis. |
