Jackets Tune up with Blue-Gold Game (11/12/05)

BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings
men’s basketball team held its annual Blue-Gold Scrimmage Saturday
night as a tune up for the upcoming season. Points were plentiful
in the 40 minute scrimmage with the Blue
Team winning 144-68.
Senior guard Cameron Munoz poured in 48
points for the Blue Team. He scored 21 in the first half and 27
in the second. Expected to threaten the school records for
3-pointers and points, Munoz knocked down 12 threes on Saturday.
The Blue Team also had four players score at
least 20 points. Moritz Wohlers dropped in 26 to lead all new
players in scoring. Buddy Windy Boy scored 21 first half points
and finished with 23. Sophomores Lucas Walker and Carlin Hughes
added 22 and 20 respectively.
The Gold Team was led by 18 points apiece
from sophomores Drew Arnold and Jay Jamieson.
The Yellowjackets open the regular season on
November 21 when they host Johnson & Wales. They will play host
to Minot State on November 26. |
