Yellowjacket Baseball to Hold Media Day/Fan Day (3/6/06)
BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings
baseball team will play its first home game in over three decades
on March 17. Baseball fans will be able to meet the Yellowjacket
players and coaches on March 16 when they host a media day/no-host
fan social at Buffalo Wild Wings on 24th Street West.
Members of the media will have the
opportunity to interview any of the players or coaches beginning
at 4:00 p.m. in the main restaurant at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Baseball fans can mingle with the team from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children. A variety of
prizes will be given away during the event, and numerous
Yellowjacket Baseball items will be for sale including trading
cards, discounted ticket books, and team hats and jerseys.
Yellowjacket coaches will also be signing up kids to be bat-boys
and bat-girls at Yellowjacket home baseball games.
MSU Billings will kick off the home portion
of its 2006 schedule on Friday the 16th against Northwest Nazarene
University. First pitch for the doubleheader between the
Yellowjackets and Crusaders will be at noon. The same teams will
meet again on Saturday, March 18 beginning at 11:00 a.m. All
Yellowjacket home games this season will be played at Cobb Field.
The Yellowjackets are scheduled to have 14
home doubleheaders plus a home exhibition game against Miles
