Chinook Runner Signs with Jackets (May 5, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana
State-Billings cross-country coach Dave Coppock
announced Thursday that Matthew Roseberry has signed
a national letter of intent to run for the
Yellowjackets next fall.
Roseberry is a native of
Chinook, Mont., and graduated from Chinook High
School in 2003. He attended college at Montana
State-Northern for the last two years. He was a
three sport letter winner at Chinook HS, lettering
three times in football, twice in basketball, and
four times in track.
Roseberry was the Sugarbeaters’
track MVP in 2001 and 2002. He received the team’s
most inspirational award in 2003. At the 2003 State
A track meet, he placed second in the 800 meters
with a time of 1:58.86. In addition to his track
honors, Roseberry was the defensive MVP as a senior
in both football and basketball.
The Yellowjackets will compete
in the Heartland Conference next season. In
addition to their five regular season races, they
will compete at the Heartland Conference
Championships in Dallas and at the NCAA Southwest
Regional in Abilene, TX. |
