Lady Jacket Golfers Complete First Round
at Mesa State (Apr. 11, 2005)
GRAND JUNCTION, CO –
The Montana State-Billings women’s golf team sits in fifth
place after Monday’s first round at the five-team Mesa
State Invitational. Play concludes Tuesday with 18 holes
at Tiara Rado Golf Course.
The Yellowjackets’
first round total of 361 trails Dodge City CC by one
stroke and Chadron State by six. Grand Canyon leads the
tournament with a 311 followed by host Mesa State at 331.
Grand Canyon’s Jessica McKay leads the individual
competition after a 3-over 74 in the opening round.
Amanda Rabenberg and
Halley Mantalban lead the Yellowjackets after identical
rounds of 87. Each of them carded a 42 on the front nine
and a 45 on the back. Julie Clifford is tied for 21st with a 93 followed by Nicole Salsbery in 23rd with a 94 and Nicole Clayton in 29th with a
104.
