Yellowjackets’ Donahue Ranked Fifth in NCAA Stats (Oct. 6, 2004)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings middle
blocker Andrea Donahue is ranked fifth in the nation this week for
individual hitting percentage. The rankings are based on all
games played through October 3. The senior from Whitefish, MT, is
hitting .433 in 51 games this season. Donahue hit .404 in four
matches in Hawaii last week. She recorded double-digit kills in
three of the four matches, including a season-high 18 in a win at BYU-Hawaii.
MSU Billings was also ranked in two team
categories. The Yellowjackets are 21st for team
assists per game at 14.29 and 24th for team kills per
game at 15.82. Sophomore setter Natalie
Bills (Provo, UT) slipped out of the national top 30 for
assists after missing a few games two weeks ago. The rankings are published following national
statistical reports every other week.
MSU Billings is off to one of its best starts
ever at 9-5 overall and 2-3 in the
PacWest. The Jackets won two of four matches in Hawaii last week
for the first time ever and will begin a nine-match home stand
this weekend when they host BYU-Hawaii on Friday and Saturday. |
