Bills Leads Five Yellowjackets in NCAA Volleyball Stats Rankings (Sept. 13, 2004)
BILLINGS, MT – Sophomore setter Natalie Bills was ranked eighth in the nation for assists in the first NCAA II
volleyball statistical rankings. Bills (Provo, UT) averaged 13.43 assists
per game in the season’s opening matches. The rankings were based on
matches played through September 5. Bills now averages 13.61 assists per
game. The next NCAA rankings will be released on September 22.
Also ranked in the top 30 in the nation were Alicia Cazemier (Fr., MB, Vauxhall, Alberta), Jessica Bratton (So., OH, Casper, WY), Andrea Donahue (Sr., MB, Whitefish, MT) and Olivia Munro (Sr., OH, Toronto, Ontario).
Cazemier ranked twelfth in the nation for blocks per
game at 1.58. Following last weekend’s matches, she is averaging 1.33 bpg.
Bratton ranked fourteenth for kills per game at 4.79. She is now
averaging 4.83 kpg. Donahue ranked twenty-eighth for hitting percentage
at .406. She has improved her average to .438. Munro ranked twenty-ninth
for kills per game at 4.43. She has also improved on that number, moving
to 4.52.
As a team, the Yellowjackets (6-1) were ranked in
three categories. The were fifth for assists per game (15.5), ninth for
kills per game (16.86) and twenty-second for digs per game (19.79).
MSU Billings is back in action this Friday and
Saturday when the Yellowjackets host Western New Mexico (10-3) at 7:00
p.m. each night. Friday’s match will be the PacWest Conference season
opener for each team. |
