MSUB Golf Signs Idaho Standout (May 30, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings
golf coach Roger Burckley announced Monday that Michael
Konrad of Rupert, Idaho, has signed a national letter of
intent to play for the Yellowjackets next season. Konrad
graduated last week from Minico High School in Rupert.
Konrad was a four year letterman in
golf and also earned three letters in basketball and two
in football. He earned first team all-conference honors
three times in golf. As a junior he led Minico to a third
place finish at the State 5A tournament with a third place
finish. In his senior season, Konrad placed second at the
state tournament to lead the Spartans to a second place
team finish at the State 4A tournament. His second round
68 was the lowest single round of the tournament. Konrad
had a 73 scoring average during his senior season at
Minico.
“Montana State-Billings will let me
pursue my dreams of getting a great education and
competing (in golf) at the college level,” said Konrad.
“Coach Burckley has done nothing but welcome me into his
program, and I look forward to competing in the fall.” |
