Greg Alario is a
native of San Jose, California where he was a three sport athlete at
Pioneer High School. While in high school he began martial arts
training, received his black belt three years later and competed for 10
years as an amateur and professional kick boxer.
In 1990 Greg
began a career as a professional fitness trainer. He specializes in
functional athletic strength training and SAQ (speed, agility and
quickness) training. Greg owns Optimal Performance Fitness which
provides programs and performance coaching for athletes and fitness
enthusiasts. Prior to moving to Billings, he resided in San Diego and
worked with members of the San Diego Flash, 1992 & 93 USL-A League
champions, as well as many youth soccer players supervising off season
strength and SAQ conditioning programs.
Greg holds a
National “C” License from the United States Soccer Federation. He
volunteers his time as a coach for the Magic City Soccer Club and
formerly was head coach of Billings West High School’s boys’ varsity
soccer team.

involvement in our program over the past two years has been great,”

certainly helps to give our players an edge on the field. Furthermore,
his wealth of knowledge in regards to the game is an added bonus for our
