Yellowjacket Runners Hit the Road against D-I

BILLINGS, MT – The MSU Billings
cross-country teams take to the road again this week
for the Montana State-Bozeman Invitational at
Bridger Creek Country Club. The meet is slated to
begin at 9:00 a.m. Temperatures in Bozeman at race
time should be in the upper 40s.

Scheduled to compete Saturday
with the Yellowjackets are MSU-Bozeman, Idaho State,
Utah Valley State, Montana, Westminster, and
Flathead Valley. The meet will begin with the
women’s three-mile race at 9:00 a.m. followed by the
men’s five-mile race at 9:45 a.m. The MSU-Bozeman
Invitational is the first of two Division I meets
the Yellowjackets will compete in this year,
including the Rocky Mountain Shootout at Colorado in
two weeks.
Saturday will be the second
meet of the season for the Yellowjackets, who ran at
South Dakota Tech last weekend. The Lady Jackets
were paced by Chelsea Lynnes (Jr., Miles City, MT)
who finished third overall in 15:17 over the 3700
meter course. Lynnes was just eight seconds off the
winning time. Anjel Hoff (Sr., Billings, MT) placed
ninth overall in 15:56.
The Yellowjacket men were led
by Scott Brown’s 16th-place finish.
Brown (So., Billings, MT) covered the 6600 meter
course in 24:58. Joe Kragt (Fr., Worden, MT) was
close behind with an 18th-place finish in
25:17. |
