Clifford, Marshall Lead Lady Yellowjackets at
Nebraska-Kearney Invitational (Apr. 19, 2004)
KEARNEY, NE – Montana
State-Billings golfers Julie Clifford and Elizabeth
Marshall are tied for ninth after the first day at
the Nebraska-Kearney Spring Invitational. Both shot
21-over 92s on Monday.
The Yellowjackets sit in third
place in the three team tournament, 22 strokes
behind Chadron State. Nebraska-Kearney leads the
team tournament at 337. Fort Hays State is also in
attendance, but does not have enough golfers to
figure into the team scores.
The second and final round will
be held Tuesday at the Meadowlark Hills Golf Club in
Kearney. The course is a 5,985-yard, par-71
course. The men’s portion of the tournament is
being played in Lincoln.
