Milne, Langford Ranked High in Final NCAA Statistics
BILLINGS, MT – Montana
State-Billings juniors Robyn Milne and Jenny
Langford were each ranked in the top 25 for two
statistical categories in the final women’s
basketball rankings released by the NCAA on
Wednesday.
Milne, a 6-3 center from
Richey, Mont., ranked seventh for rebounds per game
(11.6) and ninth for blocked shots per game (2.7).
It was the first time she has been ranked by the
NCAA for rebounds per game, but Milne has been at
least in the top 26 in each of her three seasons for
blocked shots. After averaging a double-double for
points and rebounds as a junior, Milne was named to
the All-West Region second team.
Langford, a 5-6 guard from
Reedpoint, Mont., spent most of the season ranked
about fortieth for both 3-point field goals made and
3-point field goal percentage. She had several
strong shooting games in the final weeks of the
season to finish ranked eighteenth for 3-point field
goals per game (2.6) and 23rd for 3-point
field goal percentage (40.7).
As a team, the Yellowjackets
were ranked in only one statistical category,
finishing 38th for field goal percentage
defense (36.8). The Lady Jackets had a 16-11
overall record and finished ranked tenth in the NCAA
West Region despite not having a senior on the
roster. |
