Yellowjackets Fall in Three Games Again (Oct. 4, 2003)

BILLINGS, MT – The MSU Billings volleyball team lost its sixth-straight match by a score of 3-0 Saturday, losing to Chaminade University (30-27, 30-21, 30-26).  The Yellowjackets fell to 0-4 in the PacWest and 3-12 overall while the Silverswords remained unbeaten in the PacWest at 2-0, 7-4 overall.

Olivia Munro (Jr., Toronto, Ontario) led the Jackets with a dozen kills on 35 attempts.  Her .200 hitting percentage was well above the team’s .096.  Chaminade hit .245 for the match.  Jessica Bratton (Fr., Casper, WY) managed nine kills and Cortney Metzler (Jr., Roundup, MT) added six kills and two service aces.  The Silverswords were led by 12 kills apiece from Kahala Kabalis and Valasi Sepulona.

The Yellowjackets have now lost ten of their last eleven matches.  They will face No. 11 Hawaii Pacific on Monday and No. 3 BYU-Hawaii on Tuesday.
