Yellowjacket Softball Geared up for Second Rim-Rockin’ Fastpitch Camp (August 21, 2003)

BILLINGS, MT – MSU Billings head softball coach Jeff Aumend announced this week that the dates have been set for the second annual Rim-Rockin’ Fastpitch Softball Camp.  The fast-paced camp for girls ages 8-14 began last year at the newly finished Cenex Stadium on the campus of MSU Billings.

“This is, by far, the best series of camps I’ve ever had a chance to work.  Our goal was a fast-paced experience that was great fun and kept the kids coming back for more.  Softball sometimes gets a bad rap as being slow and boring.  Not at this camp!  There’s music, contests, prizes and great instruction.  Girls at all interested in softball won’t want to miss this one!”

The camp will run on four consecutive Sundays in September and October with sessions for three different age groups.  The 8-10 age group will run from 1-3 p.m. and the 11-12 age group will run from 3-5 p.m., with both sessions taking place at Cenex Stadium.  The 13-14 age group will be run as a fall league with games being played between 1-5 p.m.  The location of the 13-14 league will be announced at a later date.
