Yellowjackets’ Campbell Named PacWest Player of the Week (Mar. 23, 2004)
BILLINGS, MT – MSU Billings junior Theresa
Campbell was named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week
on Monday. Campbell, a Great Falls, Mont., native, batted .500 in
four Yellowjacket wins and was also named the Yellowjacket
Invitational Tournament MVP.
Campbell led a Yellowjacket offense that
outscored its opponents by a combined score of 34-1 in four
games. Including an exhibition win over Dawson CC, she batted
.533 for the weekend and led all tournament players in slugging
percentage (1.000), runs scored (7), hits (8), RBI (11), total
bases (15), and home runs (2). Campbell’s three-run home run
provided the winning runs in a 4-1 win over Northern State
University. She also homered and drove in three runs in the win
over Dawson CC.
In the Jackets’ four official games, Campbell
had a double and a home run for a .833 slugging percentage, scored
five times and drove in eight RBI. Campbell currently ranks third
in the PacWest with 16 RBI. She is also ninth with 13 runs scored
and sixth with two home runs.
