Offense Dominates in Yellowjacket Softball Blue-White Game (Sept. 27, 2003)
BILLINGS, MT – The two teams combined for ten
runs and 22 hits in Saturday’s MSU Billings Blue-White softball
scrimmage held at Cenex Stadium. The Blue team pounded out 14
hits and plated eight in an 8-2 win.
Junior pitcher Megan McCrae was credited with
the win after tossing four shutout innings. McCrae, from Brandon,
Manitoba, scattered four hits over her four innings of work and
struck out one. Junior Stephanie Cochrun pitched the final three
innings for the Blue team, allowing four hits and two runs.
Joey Ehnes, a junior from Great Falls, MT,
took the loss for the white team after allowing 14 hits and eight
runs. Junior Theresa Campbell, also from Great Falls, MT, led all
hitters in the game, going 3-for-4 with a double.
The Yellowjackets will continue their fall
schedule when they host Dawson C.C. on October 11 at Cenex
Stadium. |
