Yellowjackets Host Laramie County CC in Exhibition Game Saturday (Oct. 23, 2003)
BILLINGS, MT – With its regular season
schedule complete, the MSU Billings men’s soccer team will suit up
one more time for a home exhibition game against Laramie County
Community College this Saturday. The game is scheduled to start
at 3:00 p.m. following the women’s game between Northern Colorado
and Utah Valley State. The Yellowjackets posted a 6-9-1 record
this season with only two games at home. Saturday’s game will be
senior day for the seven Yellowjacket seniors.
Thomas Pertuit (Jr., Billings, MT) scored 24 points on ten
goals and four assists this season to lead the Yellowjacket
offense. His 24 points ties Mark Cipolla for the school single
season record and the ten goals are second behind Cipolla’s 11 in
2002. In three seasons, Pertuit has 35 career points, third most
in school history and ten behind career leader Dave Austin. His
12 career goals ties him for fourth all-time with Mike Gallegos.
Victor Sargent (Fr., Billings, MT) was the Jackets’ second
leading scorer with eight points on three goals and two assists.
Dustin Kono (So., Aberdeen, SD) scored seven points on two goals
and three assists.
Jess
Feldtman (So., Lander, WY) logged the most minutes in goal for
MSUB this season, making a team-high 49 saves in 885 minutes. He
allowed 26 goals for a 2.64 goals against average.
Laramie County CC is 12-4-1 for the season
and has outscored its opponents by a combined 57-17. The game
against the Yellowjackets is the final game of the regular season
for the Golden Eagles before the regional tournament. |
