Yellowjacket Golfers to Wrap up Season in Colorado (Apr. 25, 2004)
BILLINGS, MT – The Montana
State-Billings men’s golf team will conclude its
second season of NCAA competition on Monday at the
University of Northern Colorado Invitational in
Greeley, Colo. Play, originally scheduled for
Monday and Tuesday, will take place on Monday only.
The 6,723-yard par-71 Highland Hills Golf Course
will host both of Monday’s rounds with the first tee
times beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The event will be the sixth of
the spring for the Yellowjackets. The MSU Billings
women’s team finished its season last week at the
Nebraska-Kearney Invitational. The men’s team
placed thirteenth in Nebraska, led by 23rd place finishes by Chris Haas and Eric Staab. Haas,
a sophomore from Bozeman, Mont., has been the
Jackets’ low scorer in the last three tournaments.
The UNC Invitational will
feature eight teams. Joining the Yellowjackets and
the host Bears will be Adams State, Colorado
Christian, Colorado School of Mines, Forth Hays
State, Nebraska-Kearney and Regis. Nebraska-Kearney
and Regis are ranked No. 9 and No. 10 respectively
in the Northwest Region. |
