Yellowjackets Announce Men’s Basketball Transfers (June 28, 2004)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State
University-Billings men’s basketball coach Craig Carse announced
Monday that three transfers have signed national letters of intent
to play for the Yellowjackets next season.
Wacy Weeks (Wolf Point, MT.) will transfer
after playing two seasons at Miles Community College. The
6-foot-5 guard/forward averaged 11 points per game for MCC last
year. He helped Wolf Point HS to back-to-back runner-up finishes
at the Class A State Tournament as a junior and senior, earning
all-state honors both years. As a senior, he averaged 22 points
and 12 rebounds a game.
Kerington Youmans (Atlanta, GA) transfers to
MSUB after playing one season at Delaware Technical Community
College. The 5-10 guard averaged 13.9 points, 8.7 assists and 4.3
steals per game last season and led the conference in assists and
steals. He ranked in the top 10 nationally for steals and in the
top 20 for assists. Youmans was a four-sport athlete at Banneker
HS in College Park, GA. He was a two-time team MVP in basketball
and also lettered in football, baseball and track. He averaged
17.9 points and 6.6 assists per game as a senior.
Braden Draggoo (Omak, WA) is transferring
after two years at Wenatchee Valley Community College. He
averaged 11 points and five rebounds a game last season. The 6-3
guard helped Omak HS to consecutive third place finishes at the
State 2A Tournament as a junior and senior. Draggoo was a
two-time Central Washington Athletic Conference first team
selection. He was the CWAC’s player of the year as a senior and
also earned first team all-state honors after averaging 22.8
points and eight rebounds a game. |
