Yellowjackets Host Montana AAU in Exhibition Monday (Nov. 9, 2003)
BILLINGS, MT – The MSU Billings men’s
basketball team will face its first outside competition of the
season Monday when the Yellowjackets host a Montana AAU team
comprised of former college players. Monday will also be the
first night for the “Jacket Jackpot,” a chance for fans in
attendance to win $1000 cash.
Tip-off for Monday’s exhibition is scheduled
for 7:00 p.m. at Alterowitz Gymnasium. The Montana AAU roster
will include Todd Harris (Black Hills State), Adam Leachman (MSU-Bozeman),
Max Soft (Indiana Wesleyan), Steven Wieder (Minot State), Rick
Watson (Sheridan CC), Jason Mims (Eastern Montana), Jethro Wilson
(MSU Billings), Rodney Owens (Rocky Mountain), Rollie Frye
(Jamestown), and Eddie Cochrun (MSU Billings).
First Interstate Bank in the Billings Heights
will sponsor the first of this year’s 20 “Jacket Jackpots.” Every
fan in attendance at MSU Billings each men’s basketball game will
have the opportunity to enter a drawing for $1000 cash. For just
$1, fans can enter the Jackpot once at each game. Each person who
enters the contest remains in the pot for the entire season. Thus
someone attending all 20 men’s basketball games and entering the
contest for $1 will have 20 tickets in the pot by the end of the
season. In addition to fans entering the contest at the games,
all MSU Billings students, faculty and staff have been entered in
the Jackpot once. To win the $1000, the winner must be present at
the second media timeout of the second half. |
