Yellowjackets Still Lead Nation for 3-Pointers in Latest NCAA

BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings
men’s basketball team continued to lead the nation in 3-point
field goals made per game in the weekly statistical leaders
released by the NCAA on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets are averaging
12.6 three-point field goals per game, outpacing second place
Pfeiffer, who is averaging 12.0. All statistics include games
through February 1.
The Yellowjackets dropped from first to third
in the nation for points per game after two low scoring outings at
Western New Mexico. Concord moved into first with a 96.3 ppg
average. The Jackets are averaging 93.9 ppg. MSU Billings hosts
University of Great Falls Thursday in a non-conference game.
Cameron Munoz also continued to lead the
nation in 3-point shooting, averaging 4.8 made 3-pointers per
game. He leads West Virginia State’s Mike Taylor, who averages
4.3 per game. Munoz is also tenth for 3-point percentage at 49.7
percent.
The Lady Yellowjackets’ Robyn Milne was No. 2
for rebounds per game for the second straight week. She is
averaging 12.1 rebounds a game. Crystal Clary of Lenoir-Rhyne is
the national leader at 12.9 rebounds per game. Milne is also
fifteenth for blocked shots at 2.5 per game. The Lady Jackets
play Tuesday night at Nova Southeastern in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
