Lady Jackets Drop Road Soccer Game
SPOKANE, WA – The MSU Billings
women’s soccer team lost 3-1 at Whitworth College on
Saturday. The Lady Yellowjackets fell to 1-5 on the
year while Whitworth won their first game to improve
to 1-3.
Whitworth took an early
advantage when Erica McGraw scored an unassisted
goal at 16:50. The Yellowjackets tied the game at
1-1 just before the half on Vicky McCarthy’s first
goal of the season at 41:06. Mandy Reed picked up
the assist.
Two second half goals in fewer
than 15 minutes for Whitworth sealed the
Yellowjackets’ fate. WC scored in the 60th and 74th minutes for the final 3-1
margin.
MSU Billings will travel to
Walla Walla on Sunday to take on Whitman College.
The Jackets will return home for a September 25th tilt against cross-town rival Rocky Mountain College
at Yellowjacket Field. |
