# 8
Joanna Peterson
Sophomore
Defensive Specialist
Butte, Montana |
|
2002
Season Outlook
Peterson played in 90 games and 26 matches for the
Yellowjackets as a true freshman last season.
As the season progressed, she became a solid
defender and server, recording 164 digs and 13
service aces. Peterson will be the
Yellowjackets' top returning defensive specialist
this year, and will likely fill the libero position
that is new to NCAA competition this season.
The experience she received in her freshman season
should help her immensely as she is called upon to
be on the court more. Since Peterson finished
the 2001 season at No. 6 on the squad for digs, she
should be poised to be one of the teams' defensive
leaders in 2002. |
