2002
Season Outlook
Metzler transfers to MSU Billings from the
University of Great Falls, where she was one of the
Argos' best middle blockers as a freshman.
While at Roundup High School, Metzler's teams won
three straight district titles and back-to-back
state championships in her junior and senior
seasons. She earned all-state honors as a
senior for her 96 blocks and 251 kills. At the
University of Great Falls she led the team in solo
blocks (65), block assists (57), and blocks-per-game
(1.37). She was No. 2 on the team in kills
with 234 and No. 3 in kills-per-game at 2.62.
Along with being strong at the net, Metzler was also
a strong defender, recording 152 digs for an average
of 1.7 per game. She could be one of the
Yellowjackets' most valuable additions, filling the
middle blocker position vacated by graduating senior
Tegan Harris. |
