Bruce Brumley

 

MSUB instructor recognized for years of service

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Bruce Brumley, instructor of computer technology at City College, has recently been recognized by Cisco Networking Academy for 20 years of active participation and service.

 

In addition to serving 20 years as a Cisco Networking Academy instructor, Brumley was acknowledged for 25 years of service at MSUB during the annual Faculty Excellence Awards held on March 22. He also received an ASMSUB Outstanding Faculty Award during this year’s ceremony.

 

Over his many years of service, Brumley has become a well-known leader at both City College and the MSUB campus. He has gained prominent status through Cisco, as he was named the top Cisco Networking Academy Instructor of North America.

 

According to their website, Cisco Networking Academy is an “IT skills and career building program available to learning institutions and individuals worldwide. Their purpose is preparing people for the IT workforce by providing courses, instructor assistance, and online exams for millions of students every year.”

 

In addition to these recent achievements, Brumley was presented with a Faculty Excellence Award for his many accomplishments in teaching, service, and scholarly activities during last year’s awards, held on March 2, 2017. 

 

Brumley has always been eager to serve the MSUB community, as he has served as chair for the Academic Senate as well as on the Chancellor’s Cabinet, Executive Budget Committee, and University Budget Committee.
